After his debut album Norddeich Mole (2023), a coming-of-age indie record both melancholy and still imbued with hope, this new opus marks a change of scenery: we leave the dreamy North Sea to plunge into the dark night of Hamburg.

Vielleicht für ein paar Stunden, doch ich bin nicht diese Person is an album seen from a bat’s-eye perspective, about night and disappearance in all its forms. In it, the singer recounts late-night sprees in local bars, backstage excesses and the emotional shock of the next morning. Dennis Kiss has grown up, and his view of the world has become more cynical. At once introspective and observant, the Hamburg artist succeeds in depicting the world in a language all his own. The result is a form of “neighborhood poetry” – as dark as Hamburg in the fog. An album for the town where he was born.
