IKAN HYU’s explosive live performances have become a fixture on the European music scene. Their two-piece way of deploying the power of a “full band” is as unique as the resulting sound: free, glitchy, beautiful, deep and unpredictable.<\/p>\n

Both frontwomen play up to three instruments at the same time: Hannah’s instruments include acoustic and electronic drums, a Kaossilator and a synth bass; Anisa’s instruments include a drum pad and an electric guitar\/keyboard hybrid she designed herself, enabling her to play guitar and bass simultaneously. And then there are their voices, alternating or blending in harmony.<\/p>\n

Complemented by artworks, merchandising, lighting elements and stage outfits – all entirely DIY – the duo create a world of their own.<\/p>\n
