The band initially came into existence in 2016, consisting of charismatic\u00a0singer and guitarist Gini Jungi, bassist Michael Mutter, drummer Jan Winkler\u00a0and guitarist Tobias Arn. In 2017 the band released their first two singles\u00a0‘Partner in Crime’ and ‘Wasted Youth’, before taking themselves on a tour of\u00a0Italy, France and Switzerland.<\/p>\n
Not Yours!, the quartets highly anticipated debut EP was released in spring\u00a02019 and sold out only a few months later. Over the past few years the\u00a0band’s sound shifted away from the rock-tinged pop of their early releases,\u00a0instead drenching it in a heavier psychedelic wash, gaining the band\u00a0comparisons to Wolf Alice, Warpaint or early Hole and catching the ears of\u00a0Gigwise, Indie Shuffle, L.A. Weekly and more.\u00a0The debut album ‘Sweet Mortality’ encapsulates perfectly the band\u2019s self\u00a0description as \u201cgrunge psychedelic-rock\u201d, whilst expanding the band\u2019s sound\u00a0into other territories. Every time it looks like a song is about to go over the\u00a0brink into full wig-out, the band\u2019s restless and sharp songwriting sensibilities\u00a0cut through. It\u2019s a record as seeped in pop as it is in psychedelia, and ends\u00a0up at a beautiful mid-point. According to singer and guitarist Jungi the\u00a0meaning behind title of the album can be explained as follows:\u00a0\u201cSweet Mortality is about realising how fragile life is and appreciating a beautiful\u00a0moment.\u201d<\/p>\n
With support gigs for L.A.WITCH,\u00a0FEWS, Sugar Candy Mountain, a\u00a0Swiss Music Award Nomination,\u00a0Reeperbahn Festival, Montreux\u00a0Jazz Festival and ESNS Festival\u00a0already under their belts as well,\u00a0the band are a potent live force\u00a0and just recorded their second\u00a0album with Ali Chant (Yard Act,\u00a0Katy J. Pearson etc.) in Bristol.<\/p>\n
